Saquon Barkley: It was a banner season for Saquon Barkley in 2024-25 as he took home his first Offensive Player of the Year honors while also winning his first Super Bowl. Barkley led the league in carries this past season with 345, which led to him rushing for 2,005 yards. As long as he can stay healthy, Barkley should be in for another big season running behind one of the best offensive lines in the league.
Jahmyr Gibbs: The Lions used Gibbs as their Swiss army knife this past season, which led to him rushing for 1,412 yards and scoring 20 total touchdowns. Gibbs also has the luxury of running behind a solid offensive line, and while his talent is undeniable, it will be interesting to see how the Lions' new offensive coordinator decides to use his dynamic skills.
Derrick Henry: Throughout his career, Derrick Henry has never had a problem finding the end zone, and in his first season with the Ravens, that remained the case. Not only did Henry rush for 16 touchdowns and have two receiving touchdowns, but he finished with 1,921 rushing yards, which is the second-highest total he's produced in his career.

T.J. Watt: Not many players can impact the game in the way that T.J. Watt can. The veteran led the league with six forced fumbles this past season, as he also racked up 11.5 sacks and 61 tackles. Watt has shown no signs of slowing down, and if he can continue to stay healthy, he will likely remain around the top of the odds board, much like he did this past season.
Myles Garrett: It looked as if Myles Garrett's tenure in Cleveland was over, but as the saying goes, "Money talks." Garrett was second in the league in sacks this past season with 14 while also forcing three fumbles. Garrett also made his presence felt in stopping the run as he posted a career-high in run stuffs.
Aidan Hutchinson: A season-ending injury derailed what could have been a Defensive Player of the Year caliber season for Hutchinson. In just five games, Hutchinson recorded 7.5 sacks, which had him well on his way to breaking his previous career high of 11.5.

Only three defensive backs have won the DPOY Award since 2010, the most recent being Pat Surtain II in 2024.
Since 2010, six quarterbacks, six running backs, and three wide receivers have won OPOY.
No offensive player has won the award in consecutive seasons since Marshall Faulk won in 1999,2000, and 2001.
Since 2012, the OPOY has gone to a first-time winner.
Winning the award multiple times is more common on defense, as J.J. Watt and Aaron Donald have won it thrice since 2012.
