Cam Ward (University of Miami): There was a lot of speculation about whether or not Ward would enter last year's draft, but instead, he opted to transfer to Miami, which seems like the right decision. Ward garnered some attention at Washington State, but he took his game to another level at Miami, throwing for 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
Travis Hunter (University of Colorado): Whether Travis Hunter plays on both sides of the field in the NFL is yet to be determined, but he certainly can do so. On offense, Hunter pulled in 96 catches for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns. While in defense, he racked up 35 tackles, 11 pass defenses, and four interceptions. Those numbers were enough to earn Hunter the Heisman Trophy, making him the first true two-way player to win the award. Hunter has slowly crept up the odds board to be the first name called on draft day, as he is now right behind Cam Ward.
Abdul Carter (Penn State): The Tennessee Titans have made it clear they will be drafting a "generational talent" with the first pick, and some believe that brings Carter more into the discussion. This past season at Penn State, Carter racked up 12 sacks and forced two fumbles, as his ability to get to the quarterback could be franchise-altering for whichever team drafts him.
Shedeur Sanders (University of Colorado): Sanders has received more attention than most quarterbacks over the past two years, largely due to his dad and the program he plays in. On the field, though, Sanders continues to be one of the most pure passers in the country. In his second season at the FBS level, Sanders finished the regular season with 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns, and ten interceptions. This comes after he threw for 27 touchdowns and just three interceptions. With his decision-making and arm talent, Sanders certainly has the potential to hear his name called first in the draft.
