Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC Thunder): SGA ended the regular season as the heavy favorite to win the MVP, as he averaged a league-high 32.8 points per game. To start the postseason, SGA helped guide OKC to a first-round sweep over the Grizzlies in which he averaged 27.8 points and 6.0 assists per game. In the second round, SGA averaged 29.7 points and 6.6 assists per game, putting up three straight 30+ point performances to close out the series. With his first NBA Finals appearance in sight, SGA has since opened the Western Conference Finals by averaging 30.8 points per game following a 40-point game in Game Four.
Tyrese Haliburton (IND Pacers): Clutch shots have become a commonality for Tyrese Haliburton. After hitting a game winner in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, Haliburton opened the ECF by hitting a game-tying shot as time expired, which led to the Pacers stealing Game One. With 32 points in Game Four, the Pacers point guard is averaging 19.4 points and 9.8 assists per game this postseason.
Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks): Jalen Brunson and the Knicks were massive underdogs heading into their series with the Celtics, but even with that, they advanced to their first Eastern Conference Finals since 2020. With Jalen Brunson's 4th quarter heroics all series, the Knicks finally got over the hump, leading them to an ECF against a Pacers team that knocked them out of the postseason last year. After dropping Game Four of the ECF, Brunson is still averaging 29.9 points and 7.1 assists per game this postseason.
