There have never been more eyes on the WNBA than there are right now. With the influx of young players like Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, Angel Reese, and more, bettors are starting to place wagers on the action, and the league has more engagement than ever before. High-end talent has always been present in the WNBA, but attracting a consistent fan base has been challenging until now.
Not only are basketball fans beginning to recognize the entertainment value of the games, but bettors are also starting to realize the betting opportunities the league offers. The 2024 season ended with the New York Liberty being crowned champions, but they will not be able to repeat in 2025. With the Liberty and now the Minnesota Lynx eliminated, three teams remain in the hunt for a title, and we'll break down the best odds to win the WNBA title across all the US-based sportsbooks.

Phoenix Mercury: With a 27-17 record during the regular season, the Mercury come into the playoffs with the #4 seed. Phoenix would also finish the regular season with a NET rating of (3.2), while that was lower than the New York Liberty, they were still able to beat the reigning champs in the first round. The Mercury's semi-final matchup did not get any easier, as they took on the Minnesota Lynx, who were favored to win the title for a majority of the season. Despite losing the first game of the series, the Mercury proved they are giant killers as they rallied back to eliminate the Lynx and advance to the WNBA Finals.
Las Vegas Aces: Coming into the season, the biggest weakness for the Aces was their defense, and after a slow start to the year, they saw a steady decline on the odds board. Well, after winning 16 consecutive games, the Aces finished 30-14 and earned the #2 overall seed for the postseason. Las Vegas carried their momentum into the first round of the playoffs by sweeping the Seattle Storm, but the Aces find themselves tied 2-2 with the Indiana Fever following a 90-83 loss in Game Four.
Indiana Fever: Not many teams had higher expectations than the Indiana Fever entering this season, as they entered year two of the Caitlin Clark era. However, injuries held Clark and several other key players off the court for a majority of the regular and postseason. Despite the injury bug making a permanent residence in Indy, the Fever still finished 24-20 in the regular season and managed to take two out of three from the Atlanta Dream in the first round. Indiana is now one win away from a shocking appearance in the finals, as Kelsey Mitchell has fully put the team on her back, averaging 23.3 points per game this postseason.

The added attention to the WNBA has primarily stemmed from the influx of talent the league has seen over the past few seasons. Players like A'Ja Wilson and Caitlin Clark have made the league a must-watch event on a nightly basis. Following the 2024 WNBA Finals, Wilson and Clark were at the top of the odds board for the 2025 MVP, but after Clark suffered an injury, the race for the award has come down to Wilson and Napheesa Collier. Ultimately, the voters decided to crown Wilson for the second consecutive season and for the sixth time since 2019.

The Aces star finished the regular season by averaging 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds per game this season. On top of that, she tied her career high in assists per game with 3.1. Aside from her offensive dominance, Wilson also finished as the league leader in blocks with 2.3 per game, and she was 7th in steals per game, which was enough to help her edge out Napheesa Collier.

Another loaded rookie class, headlined by Paige Bueckers, joined the league for the 2025 season. After opening as the favorite, Bueckers never relinquished her position at the top of the odds board, as she had the market off the boards before the final month of the regular season.
Paige Bueckers (Dallas Wings): After her storied college career, which ended with a National Championship, Bueckers was expected to be taken 1st overall, and the Dallas Wings made that a reality. In her senior year, Bueckers averaged 19.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists, as she is expected to be one of the focal points of the Wings' offense in her rookie season. To start her WNBA career, Bueckers averaged 19.2 points and 5.4 assists per game, as she was also named an All-Star starter on the way to the Rookie of the Year.
