Jannik Sinner (-110 to +110): After never making a US Open final in his career, Jannik Sinner broke through in 2024 and claimed his second Grand Slam victory of the year with a win over Taylor Fritz. The Italian has solidified himself in the elite tier among men's tennis players, and it seems like he is just getting started when it comes to winning Grand Slam titles, as he is fresh off his first Wimbledon title, which means he has won Grand Slams already this season.

Carlos Alcaraz (+170 to +185): The 2024 US Open did not go as planned for Alcaraz, as he lost in the second round to Botic van de Zandschulp. Overall, Alcaraz still has five Grand Slam titles to his name, including a US Open title in 2022. Although his early exit was quite shocking, the 21-year-old still has momentum entering the US Open, having won the French Open and lost in the finals at Wimbledon.

Novak Djokovic (+650 to +1200): One year after winning the US Open, Djokovic was knocked out in the third round of the 2024 US Open by Alexei Popyrin. By not picking up a US Open title, Djokovic finished the season without a Grand Slam title for the first time since 2017. Entering the 2025 US Open, Djokovic is at risk of going without a Grand Slam title for the second consecutive year, as he has lost in the semi-finals of all three Grand Slams this season.

Current Favorites in Women's Singles

Aryna Sabalenka (+210 to +280): Not only did Sabalenka return to the US Open final one year after finishing as the runner-up, but this time, she secured her first US Open title. By picking up a win, Sabalenka officially won two Grand Slam titles in one season for the first time in her career.

Iga Swiatek (+320 to +350): Swiatek was cruising through the 2024 US Open until she ran into Jessica Pegula in the quarter-finals. With that loss, Swiatek has failed to reach the US Open final in two consecutive events after winning the tournament in 2022. Of course, Swiatek will enter the 2025 US Open with considerable momentum after winning her first Wimbledon title.

Coco Gauff (+500 to +650): Gauff was one of the multiple elite-level players to get eliminated early from the 2024 US Open, as she was bounced in the Round of 16 by Emma Navarro. After winning the US Open in the 2023 season, Gauff did not have the best Grand Slam run in 2024, as she failed to reach the finals of all four events. While Gauff was able to win the 2025 French Open, she followed that up with a first-round loss at Wimbledon.

Draw Disasters: How Quarter Assignments Quietly Kill Betting Value

When heading into a major tournament like the US Open, most bettors look at recent form, surface preference, and a few other factors to help them find value in the futures markets. All of those factors are certainly important, but one underrated factor when looking to place a future is the draw, specifically, which quarter of the bracket a top player is placed in.

Some top players may be great on hard courts, but a brutal draw can stop their ascension to a title before it gains any steam. Certain players may receive a favorable draw, while others may end up in a quarter of the bracket that features young unseeded floaters, veterans with good history at the US Open, or in-form players with no expectations on them.

In a tournament where the five-set format is a real test of a player's stamina, playing young and aggressive baseliners early could lead to a player dealing with fatigue before the quarter or semi-finals even roll around.

Smart bettors typically wait to place most futures until the draw is released. This allows them to target undervalued players in weaker quarters, which not only gives them value but also provides good hedging opportunities later in the tournament.
