Odds to Make the 2025 MLB Playoffs
With the regular season heading into the final weekend, MLB fans can continue hitting the futures markets to get their late-season bets in. The playoff market is one of the most volatile during the regular season, and that certainly isn't changing with only a few games remaining.
Here, we’ll look at the betting odds for each team to reach the postseason with prices from all the top sportsbooks, including FanDuel Sportsbook.

Notes & Updates
September 25, 2025: Despite losing the second game of their series with the Cubs, the New York Mets are still one full game ahead of the Reds and Diamondbacks, as they are now (-170) to reach the playoffs.
September 25, 2025: Not only have the Houston Astros lost the AL West to the Mariners, but they are now (+310) to make the playoffs through the Wild Card.
September 22, 2025: The Cleveland Guardians were 10.5 games back of the Tigers at the start of September, but are now one game back of Detroit in the division, with odds of (-205) to make the playoffs.
September 22, 2025: For the first time since April, the New York Mets are not in possession of a playoff spot, as they are now (+150) to make the postseason.
September 15, 2025: After jumping into the final NL Wild Card spot for a moment, the San Francisco Giants are now 1.5 games back of that spot. The Giants are (+550) to reach the postseason.
September 15, 2025: The Houston Astros are no longer in first place in the AL West, as they are one game back of the Mariners. The Astros are still (-280) to make the playoffs.
September 8, 2025: Despite both teams having a negative run differential, the Royals and Guardians are staying alive in the AL Wild Card race, as they are both within 2.5 games of the Mariners.
September 8, 2025: With a losing record over their last ten games, the Seattle Mariners are holding just a 1.5 game lead over the Rangers for the final AL Wild Card spot.
September 1, 2025: The Cincinnati Reds have started to fade at the wrong time, losing eight of their last ten games, which puts them four games back of the final NL Wild Card spot.
