NCAAF 2025 Conference Championship Odds | SEC, ACC, Big-10, and Big-12

The SEC has remained the premier conference in college football, and while that didn't exactly prove to be the case during the 2024-25 College Football Playoff, the level of talent in the league cannot be denied.

While the Georgia Bulldogs won their second SEC Title in three years in 2024, the Bulldogs have a few teams standing in their way as the season enters Week 11. With the 2025 season moving quickly, we will keep bettors informed of all changes through conference championship weekend.

Alabama Crimson Tide: There was early panic button pressing in Tuscaloosa after Alabama fell to Florida State in Week One, but since then, the Tide have hit their stride. Quarterback Ty Simpson has only looked better as the weeks go by, and in a big win over South Carolina, he threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns, giving him a 20:1 TD-to-INT ratio this year. Coming off a bye week, the Crimson Tide are now set to host an LSU team playing their first game since Brian Kelly was fired.

For most of the 2024-25 season, it looked as if the Miami Hurricanes would be the ACC Champions. However, with a late-season loss to Syracuse, the Clemson Tigers went on to win their fourth conference championship in the last six seasons. Well, with Clemson falling apart early this season and the Hurricanes losing twice, the ACC is once again wide open.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets: The two heavy favorites to win the ACC entering the season have essentially become non-factors. With that, Georgia Tech was able to fly to the top of the standings. However, after getting up to 8th in the country with an 8-0 record, the Yellow Jackets fell to NC State, dropping them to 16th in the country and causing Duke to be listed as the favorite in a few shops.

The Ohio State Buckeyes may be the defending National Champions, but they are not the reigning Big-10 champs. In fact, the Buckeyes have not won the conference championship since 2020. With all that said, the Buckeyes have opened as the favorite to sit atop the conference this upcoming season. Being a preseason favorite doesn't get you anything, though, and the Buckeyes will need to beat teams like Michigan and seemingly Indiana if they want to hoist the Big Ten title.

Ohio State Buckeyes: The Buckeyes may have lost a lot of their big-name players from their National Championship-winning team, but their dominance has not slowed down this season. The Buckeyes have yet to allow more than 16 points in a game this season, and in their first five conference games, they've outscored their opponents 152-39. With four regular-season games remaining, the Buckeyes are set to play only one more ranked team, which happens to be Michigan.

There isn't a major college football conference as wide open as the Big 12. Much like last season, this conference will likely come down to the wire, as we saw cannibalism down the stretch in 2024-25. After making a late push at the end of the last season and winning the conference, Arizona State was among the five teams with the shortest odds entering 2025-26. While a few of those teams have started the year strong, it's Texas Tech who has seperated themselves as the heavy favorite.

Texas Tech: The Red Raiders entered the offseason with an unlimited budget to spend on the transfer portal. With the players they brought in and returners like Behren Morton, they appear to be the team to beat in the Big 12. Texas Tech dominated their non-conference opponents, and in their first conference matchup of the season, they handled business against Utah with a 34-10 win. To start October, the Red Raiders continued that domination with blowout wins over Houston and Kansas. Even though they would lose their first game of the season to Arizona State, the Red Raiders bounced back with a blowout win over Oklahoma State, and with four games remaining, their biggest game comes in Week 11 when they host BYU.

Transfer portal net gains: A smarter way to bet NCAAF futures

Whether fans like it or not, the transfer portal appears to be here to stay. Transfers have always been a part of college football, but now they have become an integral part of the offseason. With big-name players coming in and out of the top programs, a good transfer portal class can change a program's trajectory.

For fans, the transfer portal can be either exciting or heartbreaking, but for bettors, it can be the difference in an edge. Quarterback transfers are one thing, as they play a big part in a team's long-term success, but transfers from other positions can determine whether a futures bet is a winner or loser.

With that, the question becomes how bettors can analyze transfer portal classes and factor that into their handicapping process. Well, NET production added is a good starting point. Bettors can begin by examining added or lost snap counts at various positions, including offensive and defensive line, cornerback, linebacker, wide receiver, and more. This can help determine whether a team is replacing a star defensive end with another veteran college player or an unproven freshman.

A P4 team will lose its fair share of players each year to the draft or the portal, but if bettors notice that a team replaced those players with potential budding stars from G5 programs, then it may be worth more of a bet than a team that lost a ton of production and maybe did not hit the portal as hard as it should have.
