Oklahoma City Thunder: The reigning NBA champs will enter this season in the hopes of building their own dynasty. Oklahoma City was second in adjusted offensive efficiency and first in adjusted defensive efficiency last season, so even with the target on the back of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder's young core, they still looked primed for another deep playoff run.
Denver Nuggets: Many NBA analysts believe this Nuggets team is the best supporting cast that Nikola Jokic has had, which is saying something since they won the title a few years ago. Denver went out and got Cameron Johnson, who can shoot like Michael Porter Jr and adds more competitiveness on defense. After finishing 4th in adjusted offensive efficiency but 21st in adjusted defensive efficiency, that defensive component will be key for the Nuggets.
Cleveland Cavaliers: In their first season with Kenny Atkinson at the helm, the Cavaliers had the top-rated offense in the league. While they would lose a few crucial pieces from last year, Cleveland still looks to be in a good place entering the 2025-26 season. Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and Evan Mobley will still lead the charge, while guys like De'Andre Hunter, Lonzo Ball, and Sam Merrill will act as important role players.
